Our family of 4 adults -( Mom & Dad, daughter and her husband) spent a wonderful week in November at Castle by the Sea! We could not imagine a more wonderful vacation! It was everything we dreamed and more!! The owner, manager and this website all gave us helpful suggestions for activities and we set off every morning for amazing adventures, after watching the sunrise from the rooftop observatory and then cooking breakfast in the wonderful kitchen and eating it on the lovely porch overlooking gardens,& fountain then out to the sea! Most nights when we returned we enjoyed star-gazing from the rooftop as we sipped a nightcap! Wow! There are several great places to eat relatively nearby. "Castles" rented a 4 wheel drive vehicles for us which met us at the airport then took us to our Castle . That was great! We loved adventuring around the island and we went to almost every part of it. Loved the Rainforest Canopy Zipline in Dennery!! Made a day of the sights in Soufriere - Diamond Falls was a favorite. Adored having drinks at Ladera Resort and watching the sunset between the Pitons! We snorkeled at Anse Chastenet, but liked it better at Jalousie Beach - there was free parking at Jalousie Resort! We spent a whole "Resort Day" there, in fact! We followed some "off the beaten path" roads to some amazing beaches and other remarkable sights of waves crashing against rocks! Beauty everywhere! Margiot Bay was lovely and we took a water taxi there to Doolittles Restaurant which was delightful! Spent a day at the park on Pidgeon Island and loved that too! We liked that better than Rodney Bay, which seemed crowded and commercial by comparison. In all, it was a week we will not soon forget - we even got to experience an earthquake without any damage being done! If you get a chance to book this place, don't hesitate! Just do it!

We stayed at the Castle on the Sea villa for the past two weeks. It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation. The views from the terrace and rooftop terrace are breathtaking. Breakfast and coffee and afternoon drinks on the terrace became daily rituals. It was a beautiful setting, clean comfortable villa, and good hospitality from Castleâ??s management. Some of the highlights of our trip were: The ATV Paradise tour (www.atvstlucia.com) â?? The tour starts by touring a working fruit plantation, then goes up into the rainforest to a beautiful river with a scenic little waterfall and a 10 foot deep pool that you can swim in. The ride ends at scenic honeymoon beach. Great tour! The Rainforest Canopy Tour - The zipline above the rainforest floor is an adventure not to be missed! Snorkeling at Anse Chastanet- We drove to Soufriere and then took a water taxi to Anse Chastanet. The snorkeling was great as it is a protected marine reserve. The beach at Anse de Sables in Vieux Fort - We spent several different days at this beach. It was great for boogie boarding and playing in the waves. It is also where they windsurf and kite surf. Pigeon Island â?? We had lunch at the beachside restaurant there and then spent the afternoon at the beach. It has a scenic beach and a calm sea. Hope some of these tips help you out. We really enjoyed our vacation in St. Lucia and our stay at the Castle on the Sea villa!
